To say John Houghtaling loves cars would be an understatement. John's extensive collection of Lamborghinis and Ferraris is nationally known and has been featured on national TV. John owns every Lamborghini made between 1967 – 1986. His Lamborghini Countach was ranked 10th on the Discovery Channel's "The Greatest Sportscars Ever." The Countach is the very same car featured in the famous Alpine poster.
Charities and non-profits benefit from John's extensive car collection. Most recently, he helped raise $15,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of the first Ferrari Club of America's Challenge Race held at Sebring, Florida in April 2009. As a co-founder of the New Orleans French Quarter Classic, a national gathering of exotic car collectors in New Orleans, John has raised funds for the New Orleans Police Department and participated in events benefiting local hospitals.
John is not the only car collector at Gauthier Houghtaling and Williams. James Williams owns a Maserati Quattroporte, the first of its kind in Louisiana. Todd Slack sports a Bentley Brooklands R, one of only 221 ever made.
