Jones Scholarship" to be awarded to a deserving St. Augustine student.
The late Wendell Gauthier’s fight to expose Big Tobacco’s coverup of the addictive properties of nicotine is a significant part of the story of Addiction Incorporated, a docudrama about Victor DeNoble a whistleblower and research scientist at a major tobacco company, who revealed a fact that the industry had been denying for years: that cigarettes were addictive.
GHW attorneys John Houghtaling, James Williams and Celeste Gauthier were inducted into Loyola University’s Society of St. Ignatius.
Attorneys Sean Greenwood and Pat McGinnis were named to H Texas Magazine's list of Top Professionals in Houston.
GHW partner James Williams participated in a roundtable discussion entitled, "Closing the Wealth Gap: Utilizing Minority Owned Businesses as Vehicles for Job Creation and Economic Recovery," on Capitol Hill on September 22, 2011.

To say John Houghtaling loves cars would be an understatement. John's extensive collection of Lamborghinis and Ferraris is nationally known and has been featured on national TV. John owns every Lamborghini made between 1967 – 1986. His Lamborghini Countach was ranked 10th on the Discovery Channel's "The Greatest Sportscars Ever." The Countach is the very same car featured in the famous Alpine poster.

Charities and non-profits benefit from John's extensive car collection. Most recently, he helped raise $15,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as part of the first Ferrari Club of America's Challenge Race held at Sebring, Florida in April 2009. As a co-founder of the New Orleans French Quarter Classic, a national gathering of exotic car collectors in New Orleans, John has raised funds for the New Orleans Police Department and participated in events benefiting local hospitals.

John is not the only car collector at Gauthier Houghtaling and Williams. James Williams owns a Maserati Quattroporte, the first of its kind in Louisiana.
