Rajan Pandit

Rajan Pandit is gearing up for the September 13, 2010 statutory deadline to file lawsuits for damages related to Hurricane Ike.

Mr. Pandit practices in both Houston and New Orleans, and oversees a heavy caseload of both homeowner and commercial property damage claims. He has been advising clients who have not been adequately compensated for their Ike-related losses to make sure to file suit by the upcoming mid-September deadline.

"I have spent the past several months negotiating settlements for residential and commercial clients to recover what is rightfully owed under their policies," Mr. Pandit states. "Insurance companies routinely low-ball claims, and in many cases litigation is required to make clients whole. Individuals and businesses who sustained damages from Hurricane Ike must protect their rights by filing suit before the deadline."

In addition to insurance litigation, Mr. Pandit specializes in business, commercial and construction litigation.

Pandit received a joint Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration degrees from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and Joseph A. Butt, S.J., College of Business, respectively. Mr. Pandit earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola University, where he graduated cum laude in three years and was a repeat merit scholarship recipient.

He is currently a member of the St. Thomas More Inn of Court, the Federal Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Justice.

Mr. Pandit is admitted to practice law in the State of Louisiana and the Southern District of Texas.
